The Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute’s volleyball won their second match of the season, defeating USC-Union 3-0 on Tuesday night in Union, SC.
Caldwell (2-0) won by scores of 25-15, 25-9, 25-16. USC-Union dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss.
The Cobras were led offensively by Destiny Jordan. The sophomore led the team in hitting-percentage (.427) to go along with seven kills & one solo block. Lyrical Edwards had nine kills and a .300 hitting percentage. For the match, Caldwell had a .281 hitting-percentage.
Caldwell was led in assists by Lydia Jones with 16 and Taylor McClure with 15. Defensively, Gracie McClure had 17 digs.
Caldwell continues their string of road matches to open the season on Thursday when they travel to Cedar Bluff, VA to face Southwest Virginia Community College. Match time is set for 6:00PM.
