Counseling & Accessibility Services supports students career development, ensures campus access, provides mental health counseling, and shares resources with the desire to help all CCC&TI students succeed.

Career Development

Career development is a lifelong process. There are a number of factors that influence your career development, including your interests, abilities, values, personality, background, and circumstances. Career counseling is a process that will help you learn about yourself and how to determine your career path! 

Accessibility Services

Accessibility services assists qualified students to gain equal access and quality services in compliance with federal and state laws by coordinating accommodations and support services.

Mental Health Counseling

Mental health counseling offers a variety of assistance from workshops to individual counseling. CCC&TI provides free, short-term, confidential mental health counseling to registered students. Students are encouraged to use these services if they have personal, academic, or career concerns.

Mental Health Counseling

In case of emergency or risk of injury, please contact 911 or 988. 

CCC&TI provides free short-term, confidential counseling to registered students. Students are encouraged to use counseling services if they have personal, academic, or career concerns. The counseling staff, after the initial assessment, will refer students who need specialized or long-term services to appropriate resources within the community. 

Students may also qualify for free counseling through our Counselor Referral Program (CRP) with an external agency. To learn more, please speak to one of our college counselors.

If you need to speak to a counselor and one is not available, please call 988 or Vaya Health at 1-800-849-6127. Vaya Health is a community resource that is available 24/7 that serves both Caldwell and Watauga counties.

Accessibility Services

Our counselors assist qualified students to gain equal access and quality services in compliance with federal and state laws by coordinating accommodations and support services. We assist students who may be experiencing a mental health problem, physical condition, and/or learning difficulty that may be impacting their educational journey. 

How to Access Services

Steps:

  1. Complete Accessibility Services Application
  2. Review Documentation Guidelines
  3. Submit application and completed Accessibility Documentation Form
  4. If you are a Career and College Promise (CCP) student, review and submit the Memo of Understanding
  5. Meet with a counselor by contacting Alexis Shook at ashook@cccti.edu or 828-726-2746
