In 1990, Child Care Services Association created the Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) Early Childhood Scholarship Program to address the issues of under-education, poor compensation and high turnover within the early childhood workforce. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood provides educational scholarships to early care professionals and those who perform specialized functions in the early care system.

Since 2001, the Golden LEAF Foundation has partnered with the North Carolina Community College System to provide financial support for students through the Golden LEAF Community College Scholarship Program. This initiative assists with educational expenses such as tuition, fees, books, credentialing exams, childcare, and transportation.
Deadline: June 1 – LPN to ADN and ADN or October 15 – Practical Nursing
Eligible students must be accepted into one of the Watauga Campus nursing programs: PN, LPN to ADN or ADN. Scholarship awarded in amount of at least $1,000
