Mike Bradshaw Middle School Math Competition

Published: 3/31/2023

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute hosted the first Mike Bradshaw Middle School Math Competition Friday morning on the Caldwell Campus in Hudson. Seventh and eighth graders from Collettsville, Happy Valley, Gamewell, Granite Falls and Kings Creek flexed their math muscles in a formal competition, followed by get-to-know-you activities and free pizza in the CCC&TI gym.

The top performing team in both the seventh and eighth grade divisions was Granite Falls Middle School. Individual awards were given for first, second and third places for seventh and eighth grade divisions as well.

In its first year, the competition is named for former STEM Department Chair Mike Bradshaw, who retired from CCC&TI in 2015 after 37 years as an educator. He was present for the event and handed out trophies at its conclusion.
