CCC&TI Recognizes SECU “People Helping People” Scholarship Recipients

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute recently held a special ceremony to recognize two students who have been awarded the State Employees’ Credit Union People Helping People Scholarship. 

The SECU Foundation established the two-year “People Helping People” scholarship program to assist North Carolina Community College System students in achieving academic success. The members of SECU take an active role in assisting organizations and communities across North Carolina and truly believe in “People Helping People!” Each North Carolina Community College receives two “People Helping People” scholarships to award to local students each academic year. 

CCC&TI’s SECU People Helping People Scholarship recipients are Alexis Baker and Autumn James.  Alexis Baker, the 2024 recipient, is currently completing coursework in CCC&TI’s Physical Therapist Assistant program. Autumn James is the 2025 recipient of the scholarship and is currently enrolled in CCC&TI’s Associate Degree Nursing program.
