This summer, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is once again offering the Cobra Super Summer Youth Camps on both the Caldwell and the Watauga Campus for kids ages 5 and up.
Cobra Super Summer Camp sessions are offered on the Caldwell Campus and Watauga Campus with students separated into different age groups to allow each program to be customized with age-appropriate activities. Most camps run Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and cost for each Super Summer session is $100 per student unless otherwise noted with course descriptions. Each camp offers early drop-off, late pick up and a snack.
At the time of registration, a college representative will notify parents/guardians of drop-off and pick-up times and locations for their student. A parent/guardian may drop off their campers no earlier than 30-minutes before the start of class, and pick-up no later than 30-minutes after the end of class at the designated drop-off/pick-up location.

June 15-18, 2026
Basic Car Care 101
For Ages 12 and up • Cost: $100
Students enrolled in the Basic Car Care 101 camp will learn the basics of vehicle maintenance including how to check tire pressure, change a tire, install brakes, check and change engine oil and other fluids, inspect engine hoses and belts and other basic maintenance tasks. Students will also learn how to use jumper cables to start a stalled battery, how to use lifts and jacks, how to assemble an emergency kit and other quick fixes for minor automotive issues. The camp will be taught by a licensed automotive service technician and instructor.
*This camp is also offered the week of August 3-6.
Basketball and Martial Arts Combo Camp
For ages 5-8 & 9 and up • Cost: $100
This camp offers an action-packed week of basketball and martial arts in a 2-for-1 “combo” camp. Students will get to learn basketball skills like proper shooting, dribbling, and passing techniques, rebounding, offense and defensive play, and team building. Students will also learn the grappling-based form of martial arts from a black-belt instructor on self-defense while alsobuilding the mental and emotional skill sets like confidence, focus, and discipline. For this camp, students will be separated into different age/skill groups and participate in each sport for two-hours, then switch to the other sport for the remaining 2-hours. Students will need to wear gym clothes, socks, tennis shoes and bring a water bottle with their name on it each day.
Little Kids Arts, Crafts and More
For ages 5-8 • Cost: $100
Student in this camp will learn about and experiment with a variety of art and craft mediums including painting, modeling clay, drawing, collage, sculpture, weaving and more. Student will learn the basics of working with air-dry clay and will have the opportunity to create their own keepsakes or gifts for family and friends.

Healthcare Exploration Camp
For ages 11 and up • Cost: $100
CCC&TI’s Healthcare Exploration Camp offers participants the opportunity to learn more about health care careers and training programs including nursing, nuclear medicine, ophthalmic eye care, speech language pathology, imaging, medical assisting, radiography, physical therapy, surgical technology, and social and human services. Students will see live demonstrations and participate in hands-on activities and role play.
Skilled Trades Exploration Camp
For ages 14 and up • Cost: $100
This exploratory camp is designed to give students the opportunity to learn more about several high-demand skilled trade sectors like carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and welding, all in one location during a week of hands-on experiences and workshops. The camp provides opportunities for students to try their hand at skilled trades and learn more about industry requirements and expectations. This camp can help inform decisions for how students will continue their education or what type of career options they may be interested in exploring.
July 7-9, 2026
Public Services Exploration Camp
For Ages 11 and up • Cost: $100
This three-day camp will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and is designed for students who are interested in public services like law enforcement, emergency medical services, and firefighting. Students will get an overview of emergency medical services, firefighting and law enforcement from certified instructors in the field. Topics include first aid and CPR, fire extinguisher safety and training, simulated emergency scenarios, and physical training. The camp allows students to demonstrate the skills learned during their week of camp.

Engineering Camp
For ages 9 and up • Cost: $100
Engineering Camp is designed for students interested in exploring the field of engineering. Students will build critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills and find out how engineering is applied in the real world, and how it’s shaping our future. Students will get to design, create, and produce 3D products by building rockets, working with small scale building blocks, bridges, and much more. Additionally, students will also participate in daily engineering challenges to test their skills and knowledge with their fellow campers.
July 15-17, 2026
Outdoors Adventure Camp
For ages 12 and up • Cost $125
This three-day camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and offers students three full days of outdoor activities. Students will learn how to climb, hike, play disc golf, kayak, and enjoy an introduction to first aid for explorers while learning how to practice safe outdoor skills, teamwork, and environmental awareness. We will partner with Rock Dimensions in Boone for a half-day on the climbing tower where students will learn how to properly wear a harness, tie knots, use verbal commands while focusing on climbing technique and safety. Our lake adventure includes kayaking instruction and games for practicing techniques, in partnership with Lake Hickory Pub and Marina. Students will also have the opportunity to identify different plant and tree species and learn Leave No Trace principles while hiking on the nearby trails at Geitner Park. The session will be taught by a certified American Canoe Association L1 Kayaking Instructor/Wilderness First Responder and experienced outdoor recreation professional. Amazing Animals
For ages 8-12 • Cost: $100
The Amazing Animals Summer Camp will give young explorers an overview of animal life, ecosystems, and adaptations through hands-on activities, exciting discussions, and interactive learning experiences. Students will learn about all aspects of animal science including animal classifications, life cycles and survival adaptations.
BioTech & Advanced Manufacturing Exploration Camp
For ages 9 and up • Cost: $100
This advanced manufacturing exploration camp introduces students to the world of pharmaceutical manufacturing, 3D printing and design, and computer-integrated machining. Sessions will include hands-on activities from a variety of advanced manufacturing processes and systems that replicate operations used in industry. This camp will allow students to explore skills needed for a variety of high-demand, high-wage jobs and help inform future education and career training decisions.
Little Robots
For ages 5-8 • Cost: $100
Students will be involved in interactive, hands-on activities that include creating, designing and constructing eco jewelry, robots and cars. Students will learn how to create and maintain an engineering notebook while learning about the engineering design processes. Students will also learn about the robots that surround us in our everyday lives. Students will discover how they interact with robots daily and how to make their own robotic creations.

Electrified: Spark Your Curiosity

This camp allows young minds to explore the wonders of energy and electricity. Campers will learn the basics of energy, discover how electricity is generated, and get hands-on experience with magnets, circuits, and renewable energy sources. From building solar cars and snap circuits to experimenting with a variety of elements, each day offers fun and engaging STEM activities. Students will also get to experience an interactive Maglev lesson, a flashlight-making session, and an energy exploration hike.

Students will learn the basics principles of baking and leavening agents and create their own rolls, sweet treats and desserts. Students are required to wear closed toes shoes and have long hair secured in the kitchen area.

Ages 9-13 • Cost: $220
This camp will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday in the Culinary Kitchen on CCC&TI’s Watauga Campus in Boone.
