In a December 16, 2024 ceremony at the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute honored the 57th graduating class of the Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program. Six cadets successfully completed more than 640 hours of training and a rigorous physical exam as well as the standardized state tests. Graduates, pictured left to right, with BLET class awards in parenthesis, are: MacKenzie Bentley of Lenoir, Andrew Clark of Granite Falls (Fitness and POPAT Awards), Jesse Hartley of Hudson, Ben Holdorf of Hickory (Driving and Academic Awards), Justin Kilby of Lenoir (Top Gun Award), and Darius Surratt of Morganton.
