Recap: 24 hours after their previous match, Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute’s volleyball team took to the court, defeating Patrick & Henry Community College in straight sets Tuesday in Hudson.
Caldwell won by set scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-10 for their eighth win in a row. With the victory, the Cobras improved to 15-2 overall and are now 5-0 in Region 10 Division 3 play.
Sophomore Laney Craig (Hickory, NC) led Caldwell in kills with 15 and a .379 hitting percentage. Freshman Destiny Jordan (Hickory, NC) added seven kills to go along with a .294 hitting percentage. The Cobras were led in assists by sophomore Josie Chappell (Rosman, NC) and freshman Taylor McClure (Statesville, NC), which each collecting 14. McClure also added three service aces.
Sophomore Emily Ramirez (West Jefferson, NC) had 13 digs for Caldwell, with Chappell registering 9.
Caldwell will be at home again on Friday afternoon, facing Sandhills Community College at 5PM.
