Four members of the Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute’s women’s volleyball team were recognized as All-Region 10 Division Three performers for the 2024 season, including one who was named Player of the Year, Saturday at the Region 10 Tournament in Hudson, NC.
Right side hitter Kelsey Plumley (Hickory, NC) was named the Region 10 Division Three Player of the Year as well as a first-team All-Region selection. The freshman totaled 557 total attacks and recorded 197 kills on the season. Defensively, Plumley had 32 total blocks.
Joining Plumley as a first-team All-Region selection was sophomore Josie Chappell. The Rosman, NC native had 485 assists on the season, 25th best in the nation. Chappell also had 36 serving aces and 175 digs on the season.
Caldwell’s third selection to the first team All-Region is sophomore Emily Ramirez. The libero/defensive specialist from West Jefferson, NC had 457 digs on the season, 9th best in the nation. Ramirez also had 41 service aces for the year.
Freshman Destiny Jordan was a second team All-Region selection. The middle hitter from Hickory, NC had 190 kills off 446 total attacks. Jordan also had 46 total blocks.
