Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. AppOrtho is the official sports medicine provider for Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute athletics. More information can be found at https://apprhs.org/apportho/
Prior to participating on a Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute athletic team, all student-athletes must be medically cleared. In order to accomplish this, several forms must be completed. Every year, each student-athlete is required to receive a pre-participation physical conducted by a Licensed Medical Professional. Student-athletes must also complete the Policy Agreements and Consent form, baseline concussion testing, and provide proof of sickle cell trait status.

Much of the success of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, including intercollegiate athletics stems directly from the generosity of benefactors and sponsors. In 1974 CCC&TI started with men’s basketball. In the years that followed the college added women’s basketball, and has had successful baseball and softball teams since 2019.
