Step 1
Complete the NC Residency Determination Interview:
Applicants will need their Residency Certification Number (RCN) to complete Step 2. Navigate to the NC Residency Determination website and complete the interview. Do not forget to write down the Residency Certification Number when it is assigned.

Step 2
Complete the Application for Admission:
Apply online at CFNC.org using the Residency Certification Number provided in step 1. The application user name and password is the same as the one you used in Step 1.

Step 3
Request official high school and college (if any) transcripts be sent to CCC&TI:
Visit our Transcripts Submission webpage for our mailing and email addresses for transcripts.
High school transcripts are required before your application can be processed.
Step 4
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):
Visit the Financial Aid webpage to learn how to apply. CCC&TI’s School Code is 004835.
Step 5
Apply for scholarships:
Visit our Scholarships webpage to apply.
Step 6
Activate and explore your CCC&TI technology:
MyCCCTI is your student resource portal which also includes your student email account. Your CCC&TI login credentials will be mailed and emailed to you after completing the college application (step #2). MyCCCTI Portal Login Instructions.
Step 7
Schedule and complete an Academic Planning Session (APS):
An Admission Specialist will email you prompting you to schedule your Academic Planning Session once it is the appropriate time. These sessions include:
– new student orientation
– assistance with first semester registration
– explanation of payment option
– obtain student ID badge
– register vehicle for parking pass
– how to obtain books/supplies for classes
